Fairmont Homes sponsor Thunderbirds

The Adelaide Thunderbirds have revealed their new image for next season with a pink uniform and Fairmont Homes as the new premier partner.

As it strives to build on its presence on the South Australian sporting landscape, the Thunderbirds have opted for a significant make over for the defence of their ANZ Championship crown.

"The Thunderbirds are really pushing for netball in this state to gain the recognition it deserves," Netball SA chief executive Stephanie Greene said. "The new brand and team colours are a great way to show that netball is a vibrant and fabulous sport really ready to fly." She said the franchise had a strong vision on the direction it wanted to take and that could not be achieved without strong support from sponsors. “Fairmont Homes is a strong SA brand and sits neatly with the Thunderbirds and where we are going.” Greene said."

Fairmont Homes has replaced the Port Adelaide Football Club has the Thunderbirds chief sponsor. Fairmont Homes managing director David Pickard said the new brand was one of the motivating factors of the organisation signing on as premier partner.

"We thought this was a bold and motivational step for the Thunderbirds to capture a bigger audience in South Australia and nationwide," he said. "It was very important to us in moving forward with both the Thunderbirds and Netball SA."
